Holy cow! i think this has been the longest i've gone without blogging. i can't believe it!
So much has gone on this summer. i will have to break it into parts.
I left off on Memorial Day. What's happened since then? SO MUCH!
JUNE: Early june We went to visit Josh in Denver. We were there for about 5 days and it was SO NICE! We didn't do much, just spent time with him. Explored his area a little bit. His company also had a BBQ one night, and the kids loved it. My anxiety was crazy though, so i ended up just taking Corbin on a walk the whole time. it was way too many people and i was overwhelmed.
We get home about June 13th. My 25th birthday was on June 19th. It was a pretty normal day. That evening, we went to the park with some family and had a picnic and cake, open presents, and let the kids play. It was a low key day. it was perfect (minus Josh not being able to be there). Josh ended up getting sick, and he needed to come home to see a Dr. So he ended up coming home, and getting there midnight after my birthday. SO CLOSE! haha. Turns out he just had a really bad sinus infection. He was only home for 3 days, but it was a good time, even though we just saw eachother!
JULY: Where do i start?! i guess the 4th of july. the beginning of our country. It was a unique day. I originally planned to take the boys down to see Josh for the holiday. But because he had to come home 2 weeks before, we just didn't have the funds, unfortunately. Thank goodness for my parents, willing to let us hang out and tag along with them!
The day started early: 4 AM! ouch. Why? My brother was in a marching band, and they were marching in a parade 3 hours away. So we work at 4, so we could be on the road by 5 to give us plenty of time to get there, especially since we had kids, and things always take longer with them. haha. It was a GOOD parade. unless i'm at Disneyland, most parades we see are just walking advertisements. This one only had a couple! but lots of performers. Have you seen the netflix show "Longmire"? we saw him! so that was cool too. (my mom was totally fangirling! haha) It was a long day, but good day!
A couple weeks later, we decided to go see Josh down in Denver. yay huh?! so we did. It was pretty spur of the moment. It was fun! stinking hot though! We didn't do much, but we did get to go to the Denver zoo! somewhere i've never been. It was huge and so cool! a big thing that a lot of people know about me is: i was TERRIFIED of birds! like i couldn't even be in a car and see a bird close without freaking out. it was bad. I was in therapy to get over that fear and it worked! the zoo has several shows, of course, and we wanted to sit in on one. we ended up in a bird show! and i didn't freak out at all! they were literally a couple yards away, and they were big birds, like vultures. i can't explain how proud of myself i am. woo!
We only planned on seeing Josh that weekend. We were just going to leave on Monday, and really dreading leaving him. Well...Josh's boss decided to send Josh home that day! they were just sooo slow, we were expecting he'd be home end of july/early august anyways. but it was great being able to help him pack, and i had help traveling home with him! woo! so that was a VERY nice surprise.
Here's a couple other pictures that i can't remember when they happened!
