We went to utah for a day trip! Josh got off work early wednesday and had Thursday off. So we thought why not?! Lets go! It was so fun. We even stayed at our good friends place amd we havent seen them in a couple years, which was awesome!
Thursday was a busy day. We woke up, went to kneaders for breakfast. They have a delicious breakfast. Hyrum wasnt a fan. Heck, he hated it. The joys of terrible twos huh? He was throqing food, silverware and his plate. Ya, it was a BLAST.
We originally planned on going to the zoo, but thanks to the wonderful snow, we had to change plans. We went to the aquarium instead, which was the first time going to this one for all of us. We pulled up and the parking lot was packed. Weird for a Thursday at noon. Hyrum ended up leaking through his diaper and his pants were soaked, so we had to run to same club because i forgot to pack another outfit.
We gotback and it was slightly less packed, since field trips were leaving. It was so much fun! We got to touch a starfish, and a stingray. Hyrum loved it. He wasn't a huge fan of walking but he had a good time. They had fish, jelly fish, penguins, otters. Plus they had a room, dedicated to south America animals. It was my least favorite room of them all because they had birds that were able to fly around freely. NO THANK YOU! It was a recipe for disaster. But other than that, it was a blast!
After that, we went to ikea! Josh was being a party pooper so we only could stay there for 15 minutes, and we did it! Must be some kind of record. But it was fun, it gets me so excited to get our own place and able to decorate. And because josh let us come, we just HAD to go to go to in n out. Yum!
Then we had to leave. The weater was too bad and it was going to get worse. On our way home, we stoppex by joshs dads grave. We then stopped at my favorite restaurant...THE SPAGHETTI FACTORY! Yum! Then we had to head home :( luckily, the weather got better the further north we went. It was such a fun trip and we're glad we got to see our friends. We're looking forward to visiting again soon!
A couple updates: josh is doing great in his job. There's hopefully a big promotion in his future! Im so proud of him! I'm still just staying at home. Nothing exciting. And hyrum. Only 8 days until his birthday! I can't believe i will have a 2 year old IN A WEEK! Holy cow! We're doing pretty good :)
