Where has this year gone?! it's been a rough year, and i'm certainly ready to say goodbye to it. Only a couple months left...
Here's a quick update...
JOSH: HE'S HOME!! it's been so nice having him home every day. we've all loved it! it's been a couple weeks, and we're still trying to find our "new normal" but it's great! he's getting ready to start school again, and he's back at working at domino's. The kids, especially Corbin, are attached to him. If dad leaves, they freak out. I think they still think he'll go back to Denver at any moment. It's heartbreaking. But it's been great having some help with them!
ME: My emotions are all over the place. One minute, i'm so happy, the next, i'm really struggling. Now that Josh is home, I can start trying to take care of myself as well. Things have been so busy. There's been days that i'm out of the house by 7 am, and i don't get home until 1 pm. since he's been home, we have so many errands to run!
HYRUM: so we have a kindergartener! say what?! I can't believe it! He started on Tuesday, Sept. 4th. so he's been going for almost a week. So far, so good! He was so excited the first day. He woke up at 6 am, acting like a kid on christmas! but he was pretty hesitant when we got there, but he did good! his school is 845-330 monday thru friday, so he's gone a lot! it's been an adjustment for Corbin. But it's been really good. His anger has been really bad this week, but that's because of the adjustment. I think it'll get better, once he gets used to it and it's a good routine.
CORBIN: it's been an adjustment with having brother being gone all the time. every day, he runs up and down our hall yelling for him. but we'll get there! he doesn't have to share any toys and no fighting, which has been nice. He's still in speech therapy once a week. he has been starting to communicate more. His new sentence is "lets go home", or whenever we get home he yells out "Ginny, we're home!" which is HUGE! he's never said words together before! we're hoping he'll start preschool in a couple months, and that will help too.
