Almost every year, we try to go up to my grandparents cabin in Montana for the long weekend. And that's exactly what we did! we love it up there, and Josh hasn't been in like 2 years, and he was dying to go back, so we went and it was definitely worth it!
We left Thursday morning, so we could have as much time there as possible. It was a pretty relax and chill weekend. We left Monday.
everyday, hyrum went with a couple people and spent the afternoons at the lake. Which, for him, is HUGE. we normally can't even get him to take a bath. But he was constantly in the water, and he even kayaked with Josh or Uncle Bean (my brother, Adam). so that was incredible! Heck, i even tried kayaking. and i'm so glad my mom convinced me to! it was so much fun!
It has been Josh's dream to see old faithful in Yellowstone erupt with a full moon. And that's what we did...or at least tried! It wasn't quite a full moon, but pretty dang close, so we decided this would be the perfect weekend. We left after dinner. It's about a 45 minute to an hour drive. it was pretty! but oh my goodness! we got there, as it was finishing erupting! we missed it! and it goes off only about every 90 minutes, and we knew the kids wouldn't be able to last that long, so we walked around. It was still unusual. We've never walked around the park at night. so it was still cool! it was a late night. We got back to the cabin around 11. It was a great, low key weekend. We love you, family of mine! thanks for letting us join! can't wait to go back.
