holy cow it's been a while! i apologize! it's just so hard since my phone won't let me add pictures, and my tablet is sooo slow! but i'll keep trying. What have we been up to? gosh...so much! Lets start with josh.
Josh: he's been working much more. He's been able to go back to full time, thank goodness! it's been working out well for us. he's still sick, unfortunately. A couple weeks ago, he was diagnosed with C-diff. yuck! thank heavens its passed. he is having kidney problems, and he cant't stop losing weight! if that doesn't slow down, we'll jave to get him tested for crohns disease, so thats fun. also, we might need to go to a gluten free diet. and i have no idea how to make that change! so if anyone has any ideas, let me know! it's not official yet, but it never hurts to do research. He needs to get better soon! we just got his date to go back to denver for the summer. he leaves home on april 24th, so in less than a month! i'm dreading it.
Aly (me): i quit my job. i feel bad, and do miss the paycheck. but things got bad over there. my boss was always saying how stupid we were, threatening our jobs if we didn't meet our quota. constantly blaming us for her problems. and she was a drunk! it was ridiculous. i have bad anxiety as it is, but that just made things way worse. i was physically ill. i lost about 10-15 pounds just from that job. i couldn't sleep, i was soo sick all the time. i had no life in me. it was terrible. i call those 2 months "dark ages" for me. as soon as i was done, i got life back. i'm not sick, i actually enjoy spending time with my family (when i was working, i spent the majority of my time off in my room not talking to anyone). yes, we miss the money, but i'm healthy again and that is worth more than a paycheck. it sucks tho, i feel like i can't go back and visit my coworkers, which i really miss. they were all so good to me, and i really appreciate that. and i buy a lot of things there, so either i'll have to time it so my boss isn't there, or i'll have to order online. i'm not sure what i'll do yet.
Hyrum: my baby boy isn't a toddler anymore! he is now 4 years old. i can't believe it! he's still having his meltdowns. once josh leaves for denver, we'll probably go back to counseling every week. but he's such a great boy! i love watching him grow. he is always making us laugh. he loves his brother, which is so sweet to watch. for his birthday, we didn't do too much on the actual day. the day before, we drove out to my parents, and there was a huge snow storm, and we got stuck. so we ended up staying the night there. so that was exciting! he was also sick that day, with a fever and really bad cough. we ended up all getting it. yuck! so we celebrated his birthday a couple days later. we just had his party at my parents house (notequitea). he requested hot dogs, hamburgers and fries and chips, with chocolate milk to drink! haha sounds appetizing! and he requested dinosaur cupcakes. it's tradition to make my kids their birthday cakes, so i tried, but i ran out of cupcakes! its the thought that counts right?
Corbin: hes 16 months. he's still the happiest kid around, but he's slowly getting crankier. it's a hard age. he wants to be independent, but there's still so much he can't do, and it frustrates him. he's not walking yet either. i'm crossing my fingers he walks before josh leaves. josh missed out on several firsts last summer, so i'm hoping he can experience this one first. hyrum was 16 months when he first walked, so there is hope! just crossing our fingers. our dr thinks it's just a confidence thing. and corbin knows he can get to where ever he wants much faster crawling. but soon he'll be running, and i know i'll regret encouraging him! haha. but he's waving, saying hi, and absolutely loves his coop (my dad). they have such a sweet bond. its so cute!
we've been marrried almost 5 1/2 years, and have always been a one car family. earlier this month, that FINALLY changed! we got a 2001 nissan x-terra. i love it, so far. at first, it was going to be josh's car, but he decided to let me have it. he drives it for work, because it gets better gas mileage, but he's going to leave it for me when he goes down to denver.
In 2 days, we're leaving for utah for a long weekend (thursday-Monday). i'm starting to get excited! it'll be nice to get out of town for a couple days. hopefully i'll have something good to report! :)
a couple months ago, my 19 year old cousin was hit by a car and passed away, they had her memorial a week ago. we weren't able to go, but i still got to see some aunts and a cousin, so that was fun as well!
