This last weekend, we had to go back to Casper. Woo hoo. We found out we had to go back a couple days before so it was pretty suddenly. About Wednesday, we had to take our car to the shop because the driver door stopped opening. The shop had to order the part, so we were supposed to take it in Friday. I took the kids and we took it in Friday, while Josh borrowed a car from a family member for work.
Lots of stuff happened, and it's Wednesday and we STILL don't have our car. But we HAD to go to Casper Sunday. So very grateful for my parents and they got us a rental. They paid for a smaller car, but we got there to pick it up before the small car was there. So we got a free upgrade to a minivan! It was a 2016 dodge caravan. It was awesome! We have to return it today and I'm gonna be sad. I love the space. The gas mileage is awesome! The automatic doors were awesome!
Josh had to work on Sunday, before we left. He got off around 2, so we headed out around 220. We had to meet up with my mom, so she can watch Hyrum. Then off we went. Roads were good. We saw some elk, and a moose! It was a very long day though. We got there at 10 pm.
We relaxed and got ready to go. We had a meeting at 11. That went OK. Just got more information. It's making me excited and so nervous. It can happen fast! Then we headed to talk to the apartment manager. Unfortunately, she wasn't there. And we had to get on the road so we couldn't wait for her. We stopped at Walmart, then on our way we went. We left around 1 pm.
The first little bit, not so exciting. It was crazy windy. The weather was awful the way we should've gone so we had to go a long way. Yuck! Poor Corbin was soo tired of the car. But he was a trooper! We had to stop every 2 hours to feed him. It was such a long day! It took us 12 hours to get home! And as soon as we were putting up to home, we realised our house keys were still in our car that was in the shop! It was 130, in the middle of the night, so we couldn't get the spare from our apartment manager. So we had to find a cheap hotel. You know, since we'd only be there for 6 hours. But everywhere wanted over $100! We finally found a place that was a little cheaper. Bad mistake! It was awful! Boogers on the wall, FREEZING, lights didn't work. It was awful! It was a great feeling to be home. We were absolutely exhausted! But it was an adventure. I just sure hope that's our last trip there until moving. That would be nice!
