A rough night...

I'm a couple days earlier than my weekly posts but I decided to write a separate post for this.
That night that I wrote my weekly post (Wednesday) was AWFUL! I was asleep, then about 11 or 1130, I woke up, and I had the worst pain in my upper back. In a scale of 1-10 (10 being the worst), I was at a 9. Medicine, getting pad, bath want working. I tried for a couple hours. I did not want to go to the hospital, especially since that either meant me going alone or us waking up Hyrum so Josh can be with me. It was too late to find anyone to come to stay with Hyrum. I even called a nurse line at the hospital and asked what it could be. They had no idea.
After I tried everything I could think of and NOTHING was helping, I decided I might as well try and drive myself to the hospital...yes, by this point out was 130 am. Awesome. So as much pain as I'm in, I climb into the car. Start driving. I immediately get very sick and start throwing up. Poor Josh. He decided to stay on the phone with me, just to make sure I made it safely. Good man. So he had to hear it all.
THEN not too far away, I guess I didn't come to a complete stop at the 4 way, and just my luck, a cop was there and pulled me over. I'm actually VERY grateful he did. Right away, he raised I was in a lot of pain, so he offered to escort me to the hospital to make sure I was OK. He also called the er ahead of time so they could be prepared and I wouldn't have to wait. I lucky didn't get a ticket. But I'm so glad he was there. I couldn't even walk from my car to the entrance so I had help. I'll be forever grateful.
Once there, they decided to wheel me to labor & delivery, since I'm 19 weeks pregnant. That seemed like the longest way ever. So they checked my vitals, which were good. I got to listen to lil boys heartbeat, which was 150. VERY comforting. The nurse quickly realised it wasn't a pregnancy pain, since the pain was higher than where my uterus is. At least it wasn't pregnant pain and I wasn't in labor or anything. So I get wheeled back to the er.
In the er, they check vitals again. All good. I had to get blood drawn and an iv. Normally, it takes a couple tries. And I'm always with Josh so I can squeeze the daylights out of his hand. But that isn't the case. But... I only needed 1 poke for the blood drawn and iv. Hallelujah! It's it sad that I feel that's a huge accomplishment?! So the Dr comes in, orders some meds for my iv. Pain meds and nausea meds. I get those and holy cow, they acted quick. I felt so weird, kinda warm and just yucky. Until they really kicked in. I was very loopy. I don't remember exactly what I said, but I remember there was 4 people in the room laughing at what I was saying. I also got VERY tired. And kept dozing in and out.

The Dr comes back in to perform an ultrasound. I was excited because I thought that meant I could get to see my baby. That was not the case. Lame! But guess what?! I was having a freaking gallbladder attack! Awesome. I've heard about people having these (parents included) and they sounded awful. Plus I guess they get worse when you're pregnant. Yuck!
So Dr prescribed me a medicine that can help with pains. Plus, I have to do a follow-up ultrasound, which is now detailed, to see exactly how severe it is. I just hope the word "surgery" isn't said. And I'm also sick on a no fat diet until we get things figured out. And let me tell you... I never realised how bad I ate until I get stuck on a diet. Sounds so fun! Not...
After they discharged me, I had to stay in the lobby until I felt good enough to drive home, since I was by myself. They didn't want me driving at all, but I had no one to call and I was exhausted. So I waited until I could walk in a straight line. It took about half an hour. I got home safe. I did drive a little bit slower, just in case, and I could pull over if I needed to. Luckily, since it was the middle of the night, I got to go at my pace and not worry about traffic. I get home, stumble up the stairs, and Josh locked the dead bolt. I can hardly unlock that when I'm fully there. It was rough. It took about 10 minutes, and I finally got in. Then, to my luck, for some reason, just locked our room door! I was calling him, going to wake him up, I even tried to pick the lock with a Bobby pin. No such luck. It was about 430 am at that time. So I have up and went to lay on the couch for bed. Josh FINALLY called me back and he didn't even realise i was home! But he unlocked the door so I could sleep in our bed. Thank goodness! And it was awesome sleep... Until Hyrum woke up at 730. Boo!
I was so tired and still out if it. So my mom offered to come pick me and Hyrum up, so I could sleep and they could watch Hyrum. I'm so grateful they did! I don't know how I would've survived that day without them. So thanks mommy and Adam! Love you guys!
Today, 2 days later, I'm still in pain, and I've heard it can taker up to a week after an attack to stop the pain. And I'm also hungry! I cannot figure out what to eat. At all. I have left over Alfredo in the fridge and it is pure torture. It's like one of my biggest cravings. And I can't have it! Ugh!
It was quite the experience and I felt like I should write it down so I wouldn't forget. I just really hope it doesn't get bad, or it's at least controlable. That attack was NOT fun. At all.
