This weekend was opening weekend and free weekend at the park. Why not go? So we loaded up the car and headed up for a day in the park! We left right around 10. It was a beautiful day. It was pretty warm but a ton of snow. Since it's so early in the year, not many places were open. We went with some friends and it was her first time going. So of course, we had to do old faithful. And naturally we had to get there right after it went off so we had to wait more than an hour. Oh well. We were able to look in the visitor center and eat lunch.

Just to give you an idea of how much snow there was. Josh is 6 foot 1 inch and it was still taller than him!
After all that, we headed north to mammoth. It was a pretty drive.
We saw buffalo right next to a van and it was just as big...almost!
On the way out of the park, we finally saw something more than buffalo and stupid crows... A wolf!...
...and an albino elk! A very rare kind of elk.
All in all, it was a good day. Hyrum was a champ! It was fun getting out and doing something.
