1st Christmas party :)

I thought I'd write this post so the actual Christmas post isn't a complete novel. 

Josh's family has their Christmas party earlier in the month. It's nice so we can celebrate with both families with not having to work around a schedule. All morning, I was making cookies. It was a double batch so it took forever! We get there around 3. The actual party didn't start til about 5. There was a lot of people. I think around 30? Josh has a huge family. We just talked, Hyrum played. Then we set up for dinner. It was soup and rolls, like always. It was yummy. Hyrum loved the rolls. It was so cute. After dinner and clean up, we sang a couple songs, just waiting for everyone to finish up whatever they're doing. 

Next it was white elephant! What they do is go youngest to oldest. They can either pick a present that hasn't been open yet or choose from someone else. But once a present gets passed around 2 more times, it's dead and can't get passed around anymore. Since Hyrum was 1st, he opened his 1st present! He got a book of 10,001 tips or something like that. When it was my turn I got a tie! Woo hoo. Haha. And josh got a lot of miscellaneous/random stuff. It was pretty funny. We brought a old, almost burned out candle, some formula and info about feeding a baby, then our favorite: we got a bag of chocolate covered donuts and took a bite out of every single one. It was hilarious. 

After that was all set and done, there's a tradition. Grandma makes every single family member pajamas. Every year, it seems to grow. It's awesome. So this was hyrums 1st year getting pajamas. They are blue with rubber duckies on them. Mine are white with frogs. Josh's are blue with fire trucks. Super cute stuff! 

By this point, it's about 9:30 pm. 3 hours past hyrums bedtime. He was exhauated. He did pretty good. We think it might've been too much for him, though. He refused to go anywhere else, except me and josh. Poor guy. There wS just too much going on, and we don't see them too often. Last time we were together was 6 months ago. Hopefully he'll get better soon :) but man, was he tired! He was asleep by the time we left the driveway. And Generally he wakes up when we go from the car to our place, but he didn't! Crazy! 

In another note, he's 9 months old today! I can't believe it! He's crawling, pulling up on everything, he's even trying to walk. And he has 8 teeth! Stop growing baby boy!
