Our new crib!

Once upon a time. Well that's a little cliche. Anyways... 1 year ago, we moved into this apartment. It was nice just management sucked. They didn't really want to work with us. So they said, since we're unhappy, we can get out of our lease and get our deposit back. We just had to be out by dec 1st. When we had this conversation, it was only a couple days away! Yup I just unpacked in time to move again. But where? Who knows! We found this one apartment on craigslist. It was decent priced and it looked ok. It did have a couple flaws I'll get into later. But we had a deadline that was coming up fast. We met the landlord and he seemed alright. He even agreed to let us pay in the middle of the month because that's when josh gets paid and it's only once a month. So we decided to take it. We got all moved in and the flaws began.

 The people before us that lived there were awful to the apartment. There was a HUGE crack on the front window. The back lid of the toilet was shattered. PLUS it over flowed ALL the time. The fire alarms didn't work and he refused to fix them no matter how many times we complained. There were so many flaws it'll take days to write it. It took him 5 months to fix the stinking toilet. Yes, it still over flowed constantly. And of course, he showed up at 10 at night. Yup, I have a newborn baby and he thinks he can show up that late to fix a toilet that he should've fixed right when we started complaining. There was LOTS of problems and the place was disgusting. There were boogers all over the wall, we cleaned up old ice cream in the kitchen. These previous tenants also left lots of junk and he didn't feel the need to get rid of it. To make long story short... This place SUCKED. 

 

The good part of this story: we moved. It's a night/ day difference. We have storage. It's bright. It's clean. It's big. It has a balcony. I HAVE A COUNTER IN THE BATHROOM. We have a dishwasher. We also have a washer/ dryer. And bonus I have a walk in closet. Everything works too. We love it here. Oh. Also... We aren't in the country anymore! It is crazy how much money on gas we're saving. I love being down the road from winco. Like today... We ran out of milk and we could make a quick trip instead of trying to plan cuz we didn't know the next time I'd make another trip back there. It was GLORIOUS. So there's just a FEW of the good things about this place. 

In other news, Hyrum is 7 1/2 months. How crazy is that!? He's got 5 teeth but acting like another one might be coming soon. He's sleeping in the crib. Recently, he's been asleep between 630-7, waking up at 1 am, then up at 5 then I'm working on him going back to sleep til 8. This schedule is sooo much better than when he was waking up 5 times a night. I just hope it gets better from here!
