Spur of the moment trip..

Once upon a time... OK, that's the most cliche starting ever huh? Let's try that again...It started out as a normal Thursday morning (a little better?), Josh left for work at 630, like he always does, and i like to stay in bed for a bit. You know, maybe watch some tv, and try to sleep more since when he wakes up, i ALWAYS wake up, without fail. At around 10, i got a call from him. He NEVER calls me while he's at work, unless it's really important. He said his best friend, Seth, his mother passed away the night before. She has been battling kidney diseases for years. The funeral was held on Saturday, down in St. George. So after lots of rearranging things, with both our jobs, we got them off and headed down there that day! i had to be all packed and ready, by the time he got off...at 3! i had to hurry! Anytime my parents would leave town, they always have to clean up, so they can come home to a clean house. and i got that trait from them! i had to pack, and clean! it was a busy day, but i was so proud of myself! Also on top of all that, i made cookies! another trait i picked up from my mommy! she always makes yummy goodies to take on trips, so i made josh's favorite...chocolate chip cookies!

They were yummy! I was so excited! and so was my husband! i love surprising him like that :)

So we had lots of stuff to do before we hit the road. So even tho we were supposed to leave about 330, we didn't get out til about 430-5! And it's an 8 hour trip, on good roads, with no stops. Well...i'm pregnant! i have to stop. If i don't get out and walk, i am more prone to blood clots in my legs. And besides, i'm so big and uncomfortable that i need to move every now and then, or else i am just in soo much pain. and...PREGNANCY BLADDER! haha...holy cow it's bad! but anyways...the roads there were ok...from Idaho Falls to  Utah. Then it got bad. The fog was ridiculous. we couldn't see in front of us, and the rain got a little bad, and we had to keep pulling over to gas stations to clean our windows cuz we couldn't see...at all! After hours of traveling, we finally got there about midnight!
The Next day, we took Seth out, we went and sight saw! it was so pretty! and oh my gosh, i loved the weather! it was 60-65*! i absolutely loved it! .

After that we went to an arcade place. There's bumper cars, arcade games, mini golf, all that fun stuff. So we played mini golf! it was fun, and i kicked butt! haha...and no i did not cheat! ;) ok..maybe a little...lol. They also did a driving range, or whatever it's called, where you just golf or something, and see how far you can hit the ball. i think they enjoyed that as well, while i just sat and watched. We also went to a place i just happened to be craving...In N out burger!! funny seeing as how i HATE burgers! but oh well...i got me a yummy chocolate shake, and dipped in fries. BEST THING EVER!

The next day was definitely harder, as it was the day of the funeral. It was a crazy morning, trying to get everything ready. But we all pitched in and got it done. The viewing was 1130, and we went to that. and it was beautiful. Everything they did was gorgeous. Due to the major weather change, we couldn't stay any later because the weather was going to get bad. cold, windy, rainy, everything.

On the way home, we did go the long way. Josh wanted to show me where he grew up. He grew up in a small town of Kanab, Utah. Kanab is 61 miles out of Hurricane (which is a suburb of St. G...where we were). We went to his favorite restaurant,  which is a pizza buffet place. They don't have much selection, but it was one of the best pizza i've had. He then took me for dessert at this cafe place to get me a milkshake. It was delicious! as we were there, we noticed on the wall...there is a picture of Josh with his football team in High school! it was AWESOME! He also showed me where he lived. It was so much fun seeing where he grew up and have him walk down memory lane.

We got to Orem, UT about 630ish to stay at his aunts house for the night so we didn't have to drive all the way (we still had 4 hours to go!) and his aunt and uncle were not at their house! they werent answering their phones, so we decided to go hang out at a mall and grab some dinner and stuff. we finally got a hold of them and got there again back around 8, and then we talked, and we fell asleep. nothing too exciting.

The next day, we went to see his dad Patrick, who we haven't seen since he was transferred down there. It was really good to see him, and spend a couple minutes with him. Due to the weather tho, we couldn't stay very long. The weather was only going to get worse. And trust me...it did! it was a nightmare. we added quite a while on our trip. it was blizzarding, but thank heavens, we fixed our car and it worked beautifully!

And that's not even the worse of it! it was insane! But slow and steady win the race...right? we even had to pull over in Pocatello, so Josh could take a break and rest his arms, since he didn't want me to drive in this weather. He's so stubborn when it comes to his driving. But i'm not gonna complain since i hate driving anyways.

Wow...sorry this is such a long post! i hope i don't bore you too much...anyways...just an update on pregnancy...i'm 35 weeks (tomorrow) and i cannot believe how fast it's going! i cannot wait to meet my baby boy! he's growing good, and his heart rate is good too. He is constantly moving and has the hiccups all the time! i love watching my belly move to his movements. it's wonderful! we have fun all the time playing tag with him. Anyways, i believe that's all for now. catch ya later!
