Wow it's been a while! what have we been up? so much, yet nothing at the same time. Things have been crazy busy, but i feel like i haven't accomplished much in these last few months.

MARCH
We celebrated both boys birthdays! yes, Corbin's birthday is in November, but that's such a busy time, we never got around to it until March! But it was a good day. It was small, just our family, and my parents and brother, but it was great!
APRIL
Josh left for Denver. AGAIN! He left early April. Let's just say it was a hard month. It's always hard saying goodbye to daddy, especially since we have no idea when we'll see him again. It's so hard, finding a routine that works and keeps us all happy. Since he's gone, and this momma goes crazy with the kids, i get a night to myself. My mom is wonderful and takes the kids so i can have alone time. Sometimes, I just spend it at home, sometimes I go window shopping, I've even started going to the movies by myself. That has been my favorite past time! In April, I saw "A Quiet Place" Which i went alone. It was terrifying! I was planning on seeing Love, Simon, But things happened, and I wasn't able to. This was the only movie playing at the time i could go. It was really scary. But wow! it was good! I also saw "Ready player one" that was great too!
MAY
It was mothers day! And Josh surprised me and the boys! it was a great day! we had dinner planned at my parents house on Saturday. And right after we got there, in he walks! it was wonderful!
Hyrum graduated preschool. Can you believe it?! we're actually getting ready for him to start Kindergarten! i can't believe it! He loved preschool, he learned a lot. But i'm so excited for this next chapter. He's going to rock it!
That month, we also went swimming! that was the first time we've ever taken the boys swimming, but it was a huge hit! Hyrum is terrified of the water. Bath's are nightmares, so i was worried. But he was a rockstar! he had so much fun! he even went down the waterslides, went under some water. It was huge!
Also that month, we went down for Memorial Day Weekend and spent it with Josh (I can't find any of those pictures. boo!). It was pretty fun! we went to Boondocks, which wasn't a good experience, and the AC went out on my car. But other than that, it was a great weekend! We went to the zoo, which was soo much fun! we did the train, and the merry go round. The kids did so great!
JUNE
We started June off with a bang! We took Hyrum to where he'll be going to Kindergarten to take a screening. It basically just lets them know what he knows, and his behavior and stuff, so they know which class to put him in, so one teacher gets all the tough kids, and one teacher gets all the super smart kids, basically just makes sure it's even between the teachers.
We got a cat! her name is Ginny. She is pretty cute. she's a little stinker. She won't stay off the counters, and if i leave out food for too long, she gets into it! she also learned how to open my pantry closet, and would get into my expensive low carb food, like almond flour and stevia. stinker! but we love her.
It was my birthday! That day was very low key. Josh was in Denver, and my family was in Texas, so It was just me and the kids. the joys of being a grown up huh? haha. We did celebrate our birthdays a couple days later (mine, my dads and my moms are all within 5 days).
I saw a couple movies that month. I saw Adrift, and that was really cute! it's a love story and surviving story. It was really good. it actually comes to digital soon, and i'm excited!
Hyrum also took me on a date. We saw Incredibles 2. it was worth the wait! that was his first time going to the theater. I was worried, because of the sound. but he did really good!
I also saw Jurassic park 2. It was different than the other jurassic park movies. It kinda focuses more on the dinosaur feelings. But it was well done!
JULY
for the 4th of July, we woke up early, drove 3ish hours, and went to watch my brother march in a parade. it was a long, hot day, but it was a great day with family!
I experimented with hair color. It doesn't happen a lot, but when it does, I usually have this one brand i stick with. But when i worked at Sally's, we got free product once a month. And one month, they offered us a certain brand and color of color. So i finally got the courage to try it. It was a disaster! The color was beautiful, but for some reason, it hardly took at all in the back. i looked like a red zebra in the back! Then, unfortunately, it faded incredibly fast. But it was fun while it lasted.
Towards the end of July, me, the kids and my mom, and brother drove 4 hours to Rock Springs, to watch my brother march in another parade. It was great to get out of town for a night! Me and Hyrum swam at the hotel for about 2 hours, while my mom chased Corbin around. And i'm really grateful! it was a great bonding moment for me and Hyrum. We also got to see my High School best friend, and her two cute kids. so, that was fun! our kids aren't too much apart in age. Hyrum and her oldest, who's 10 months younger, became the best of friends! they had a really hard time saying goodbye. It was so sweet!
AUGUST
The beginning of August, was the Carey family reunion. My cousin and her family came to town a couple days before, which was GREAT! We met them at a restaurant with the two kids, late at night. The kids did pretty good, considering. Then the next day, we hung out most of the day. I took my cousin around town. I haven't seen her since our Grandma's funeral 3 years ago, so it was fun! it was awesome catching up with her.
A couple days later, we drive the 2 1/2 hours to the reunion. We're only able to stay one night, because my parents had commitments. But it was great seeing family we haven't seen in 3 years! seeing some cute kids we've never met before. My kids had a blast! i didn't get very many pictures, but they had some chickens there, and the kids loved it!
So, yes, it's been a busy busy year! here's a quick update about our family.
JOSH: He's working in Denver, like I mentioned. He's been home a couple times. Minus April, He's been home about every other week, but August, he won't be able to come home, unfortunately. His health was really bad a couple weeks ago, so we got him twice in 2 weeks! he's coming home for good at the end of August, and we can't wait!
ME: i'm just going crazy, being at home with the kids. I love them, but goodness! i live for the days my mom watches them, so i can have some alone time. The kids are exhausting! i'm going thru a rollercoaster of moods, as of late. I'll go like a week, and i'm really great, and happy. Taking the kids places, having fun with them. And then the next week, i'll have a major bout of anxiety and depression, and i can't even get out of bed that week, unless it's to take the kids to their appointments. I hope it'll get better once Josh gets home.
HYRUM: His behavior is worst than ever. I've been so busy taking him to different appointments every week. He's had two screenings at a behavioral specialist, and i'm waiting to hear results back from the last one (which happened about 3 weeks ago). He's still seeing his Occupational Therapist once to twice a week. And she's helped a lot, when it comes to his Sensory Processing Disorder. He sees a counselor once a week (But once school starts, she'll start seeing him at school, so yay! i won't have to worry about taking him to that appointment anymore!). Plus, about every 2 weeks, i take him to a psychiatrist. He's been on medication, and i don't feel like it's been helping much. He was on one, and i feel like it really helped, but his blood pressure dropped a lot, so we had to stop that one. The one he's currently on hasn't helped nearly as much. We're going back tomorrow, so we'll see what she says! He's also starting school in a couple weeks! i can't believe it! he'll be gone 8-4 monday-friday. i'm worried, but at the same time, i think it'll be good for both of us. He does MUCH better when he's on a schedule! so i think it'll be good! and i'll get a break, so i'll be calmer and able to help better too.
CORBIN: He's still 2! and he's finally acting his age. Throwing things around like crazy. His favorite thing to throw are the table chairs, and the garbage. A couple weeks ago, I took both boys to the dentist. Hyrum did amazing, for the first time ever at the dentist. Corbin struggled, like always. And his teeth were terrible. The dentist said it's because i still breastfeed, so i'm working on cutting that. He's doing great about not needing it at night, but naps are still struggles, and he still sleeps in my bed. But because of that, his teeth were terrible. So once again, we needed to make an appointment at the surgical center, to get his teeth taken care of.
So the night before his appointment, we took Hyrum to my parents house to spend the night. I was worried about the night, since he wasn't able to eat or drink after midnight, and it was going to be an early morning. So our check in was at 7 am. Corbin did actually really well at night, thank goodness! he woke up wanting a drink, right before my alarm was set to go off. So we get to the center, get all checked in. He's unhappy, of course. But it was pretty uneventful. He goes to the OR and i'm stuck waiting in the waiting room. It takes an hour and a half. His teeth were so bad. lots of fillings, a couple caps, They even took out his extra tooth. It's been a couple days since then, and he's still struggling. Because of them taking out a tooth, his mouth is very sore still. They called to check on him today, and when i mentioned that, they said give it until Wednesday, and if it's still bothering him, let them know. So crossing fingers it'll be behind us soon! His teeth are beautiful, and i hope, since he's not breastfeeding as much, it'll stay that way! i'm going to continue to wean, and hoping he'll be 100% weaned soon.
so that's us in a nutshell. I'm going to try not to go as long, so posts won't be so dang long!
